Recognition is the memory of a company’s gratitude!
I always tell my team members at Dugo that a company is not the building but the PEOPLE!. I recall my years as a banker; the most beautiful buildings with great ambience were banks, and some of those banks are no more today. The staff have moved on.

This is actually his second time working at Dugo; he had “japa’d” before and returned. He could do that because he left with a good record. As an entrepreneur, I have seen the good, the bad and the ugly.
We also used the occasion to celebrate our loyal team members with long service awards, honoring staff who have been with us for 5 years, 8 years, 10 years and 22 years. These are men and women who have committed their time, talent and lives to the growth of Dugo.
Friday Omezi: 22 years
Joseph Jinadu: 22 years
I call them our fixed assets, our ever-ready batteries — calm under pressure.
Fidelis Adajo: 8 years
Our driver who is always ready to go anywhere at any time.
Kemi Oluyomi: 5 years
Our Admin/HR Team Leader who can multitask. This is her second coming because she left with a good record.
Ada Osawaru: 5 years
Our accountant who never leaves the office until the job is done, no matter how late it is.
Apart from the awards, they all received the MD’s handshake as a token of appreciation, along with a cash gift from Dugo. Our Chairman, Dr. Nwachukwu Nzegwu, and Advisory Board member Chidinma Lawason were on hand to join me in presenting the awards to our honourable awardees.
TGIF just got better. We hit the pause button on our usual last-minute rush to relax and celebrate. There was good food (more than enough to eat), drinks, good music, laughter and joy. Because behind every milestone in our journey are people with years of dedication and sacrifice — incredible staff who keep our doors open.
To all our awardees, your legacy of dedication will always be part of our journey. When the story of Dugo is written, you will be part of its pillars. We are very grateful to God that after more than two decades, the doors of Dugo are still wide open.
DUGO: GO, WORLD CLASS. The journey continues.
